“The museum is closing,” she says, her hand open invitingly, fingers pointing towards the stairs. Shortly afterwards, she walks through the galleries one last time. The curator wanted an exhibition without artificial lighting. Now, with no visitors, she switches the lights on anyway. It is almost October. She takes the shortest route between the works. After three months, she knows it well. The galleries are empty. She switches off the lights and leaves the museum via the storeroom door, beneath the fire escape, and walks into Citadel Park.
