For sixty years, the Bokrijk Open-Air Museum has been preserving buildings, objects and traditional customs of Flemish rural life. A repositioning process was recently launched, aimed at emphasising the relevance of this heritage both today and in the future. Architect Bart Lens, the initiator of this change of direction, named it ‘bokrijk brandmerkt’ (BKRK).
