Commissioned by the province of Antwerp, Studio Jan Vermeulen, in collaboration with Tom Thys architects, drew up a master plan for Prinsenpark in Retie. The nature reserve, a former royal domain in the Antwerp Kempen, was given a new, sustainable building that houses a reception and service centre and a forest management workshop. The designers connected two elongated volumes around a courtyard and reinforced the link with the rich history of the area through the landscaping, the layout and the refined detailing.
