In 2015, the Lille-based firm Hart Berteloot won the competition organised by the Cellule architecture to build a 30-place crèche in Habay-la-Neuve. Unfortunately, the subtly integrated building suffers from the impact of subsequent architectural interventions in the surrounding area.

Châtelet Park has been laid out on the site of a former smithy on the outskirts of the village of Habay-la-Neuve – an unspoilt green heart near the centre, with views of the valley and its densely wooded slopes. Tennis courts, leisure areas, the town hall and a restaurant form islands within the park, which now serves as the social hub of the community.
