As part of the Master’s programme at the Faculty of Architecture at ULiège, Hugo Beneytout and Simon Berlan proposed the redevelopment of the Par-king du Moulin in Charleroi, built in 1963 by Jacques Depelsenaire.

Thanks to its strategic location between the Rive-Gauche shopping centre and the future marina, this eight-storey concrete skeleton structure – covering 16,000 m² and providing 500 parking spaces – offers significant potential. The students propose repurposing the car park as ‘Pépinières du Moulin’, a space for start-ups and small creative enterprises, and a new metropolitan hub linking the pedestrian zone in the city centre with Boulevard Joseph Tirou.
