From the entrance gate of a prestigious private estate to the communal courtyard of a public space, the new reception pavilion at the Gaasbeek estate, designed by the Pierre Hebbelinck architectural firm, aims to bring together the landscape of the Pajottenland, its community of residents and visitors to the site.
An open, rolling landscape where massive churches and fortresses emerge at the edge of cultivated fields stretching to the urban horizon: the surroundings of Gaasbeek Castle resemble a Bruegel painting.
