The exhibition Entangled Matter, a collaboration between A+ Architecture in Belgium and Bozar, originally shown at Bozar in 2024, is going on tour. In autumn 2026, a new, compact version will be presented as part of the main exhibition of Beta – the Timișoara Architecture Biennial, titled ‘In Practice – as opposed to ‘in theory’.

Beta is the leading architecture event in western Romania. The 2026 edition is curated by Andreas Kofler and Tudor Vlăsceanu, who propose an investigation into contemporary architectural practice beyond representation and theory, focusing instead on the real processes that shape space and community.

With Entangled Matter, the Brussels-based collective Rotor explores the way in which buildings and raw materials circulate, casting a critical eye on its own position within the construction industry. The filmmaking duo Bêka & Lemoine present a series of short films shot at sites of extraction, production and material processing. The films engage in a dialogue with Rotor’s reflections on the challenges facing the building sector.
