Brice Lemaire, Xiaolan Vandendries and Julien Obedia created the project ‘Cover to Reveal’. It is one of the nine winners of the 2018 International Velux Award. The prize is awarded every two years to projects by architecture students who incorporate daylight into their conceptual thinking, design process and concept. This project came to fruition during the 2017–2018 academic year at UCLouvain.

Cover to Reveal, the overall winner for the Western Europe region in the Daylight Investigations category, was inspired by the desolate, endless serral landscapes of the province of Almería. The project offers a solution to the problem of desertification caused by this intensive form of agriculture.
