The 2026 Construction Garden Party will take place on Thursday, 10 September at Domaine de Lonzée. Organised by CAP Construction Cluster, UWA, UPSI, Embuild and BMP-PMC, this event has become a key annual gathering for architects and all stakeholders across the construction value chain in Wallonia.

The Construction Garden Party / Barbecue offers a unique format that combines valuable industry insights with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The evening begins with an international keynote addressing current challenges and opportunities facing the construction sector. It is followed by a barbecue in a walking dinner format, creating ideal conditions for informal exchanges and networking among nearly 200 professionals.

Beyond its convivial aspect, this event serves as a genuine platform for connection and collaboration. Architects, engineers, contractors, developers and building material manufacturers have the opportunity to discuss projects, share experiences and explore new business opportunities.

The Garden Party is part of a broader initiative driven by CAP Construction Cluster. Created in 2008 at the initiative of the construction federations, CAP Construction is an inclusive cluster representing the entire construction value chain in Wallonia. Its mission is to strengthen collaboration across professions and create concrete business opportunities for stakeholders throughout the sector.

The Cluster operates through several complementary areas of activity:

  • networking and tailored matchmaking through collaborative events;
  • market intelligence and sector monitoring;
  • communication and visibility for construction stakeholders;
  • skills development and awareness-raising around strategic challenges;
  • support for innovation and the transformation of the construction sector.

With more than 250 members, CAP Construction plays a key facilitating role within the Walloon construction ecosystem.

Its 2023–2026 strategic plan focuses on accelerating energy renovation, reducing the sector’s environmental footprint, supporting digital transformation, adapting buildings to evolving societal needs, and strengthening both skills development and business opportunities.

For architects, the Cluster provides a privileged environment to access strategic information, connect with relevant partners and actively contribute to the ongoing transformation of the construction sector.
