In 2019, the Brussels-based firm Label won the tender to convert a former care home into a centre for people with autism. No one knows where the former residents have gone, but those with autism are now out in the open. 

50° 20’ north, 5° 14’ east. Porcheresse, a district of the municipality of Havelange, province of Namur. On Google Street View, Rue Albert Billy runs through fields before disappearing into the undergrowth. A church in the shade of the trees, terraced houses in the shadow of 4x4s, an 18th-century castle and farmhouses appear one after another on either side of the road. The scene looks idyllic in any resolution.
