How can the use and circulation of materials be optimised? In *Déconstruction et réemploi*, the Rotor collective provides a thorough and practical overview of a sector on the rise.
Rotor’s work within the materials economy—which forms the basis of architectural production—needs no introduction. Whether they are researchers, curators, buyers or designers, the members of the collective consistently demonstrate both a highly practical approach and high-level reflection. The book *Déconstruction et réemploi*, published by ppur, is no exception. Published as part of the project *Le bâti bruxellois, source de nouveaux matériaux* – an initiative of the UCL, the VUB and the WTCB – the authors draw both on past research carried out by Rotor and on extensive practical experience. The aim is to provide a comprehensive overview of the dynamics, challenges and needs of the deconstruction and material reuse sector.
