A large red-brick house stands on the edge of the village centre of Lichtervelde. Welcome to the new youth centre, designed by Raamwerk.

Lichtervelde lies right in the middle of the province of West Flanders, in the Houtland. It is a residential and commuter town, with some agriculture and industry. There are no residential areas or settlements visible near the centre of Lichtervelde. Outside the village centre there is nothing but fields and meadows, dirt roads and vistas, chapels and wayside crosses.
