Some commissions require a project that goes beyond what is usually meant by the term in its architectural sense. This is the case for the project designed by 51N4E for the non-profit organisation Tous Ensemble Handicap, which proposes a living space for people with multiple disabilities, that also asserts itself as a social act.
Initially, a committed project owner wanted to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities by creating a lively centre, close to nature, but also integrated into the city rather than relegated to its margins. So, the association acquired a plot of land in Uccle, close to the Sonian Forest, where they could establish a living space rooted in the daily life of this residential neighbourhood.
