Architects Broekx-Schiepers demonstrate their mastery through restraint. House H, which they designed, was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award. Although villas are considered out of fashion these days, this nomination seems to confirm its exceptional quality.

House H is situated in the centre of a small village in Flemish Brabant. We won’t reveal which village, as the residents value their privacy. The large, fragmented plot lies in the middle of the building block. The soft, green boundary formed by the surrounding gardens blends seamlessly into the disused, lower-lying tram tracks to the west. Impressive conifers line the flanks.
