NU architectuuratelier and Archipelago designed a new visitor centre for the Botanical Garden in Meise, surrounded by a sea of greenhouses. The botanical garden is gradually becoming an architectural garden too.

A ship in a sea of greenhouses. That is the image that the architects of NU and Archipelago wanted to evoke with the pavilion, and they have succeeded quite well. Amidst the glass greenhouse roofs that reflect the sky, the new structure seems to float peacefully, still somewhat awkward and rudderless.
