The Portuguese architectural firm Aires Mateus designed the new Architecture Campus for the Catholic University of Leuven in Tournai. A play on forms featuring regular prisms within which students can find their place.

A new school of architecture in Belgium? An excellent opportunity to visit a building about which I knew nothing beforehand – neither the specific programme, nor the designers’ intentions, nor how the commission came about. What does this building itself say? What way of life does it suggest, and what impact does it have on teaching methods?
