Brice Polomé and Damien Goffart studied together at ESA Saint-Luc Brussels and shared a flat for many years. After completing his studies, Polomé went on to work at the practice of Swiss architect Serge Grard, where he gained five years’ experience. Goffart initially worked at various Belgian practices before setting up his own practice. In 2012, the two architects from Charleroi joined forces and founded the firm Goffart Polomé.

They got straight down to work. Upon setting up their firm, they submitted designs for two different competitions: a school in Bossière and the town hall in Eghezée. Successfully so, as they emerged as winners on both occasions. One competition followed another, and their designs almost always won awards. This led to a series of commissions, for both the public and private sectors, in urban and rural areas.
