A+320 at Design Museum, Ghent

13.12.2026

On Sunday 13 December, A+ is organising exclusive guided tours and talks at the Design Museum Gent to discuss the new extension and the museum’s renovation and refurbishment. During these events, various architects involved in the project will share their vision for the renovated and expanded museum and talk about their contribution to the project. The Ghent-based practice Atama will discuss the new wing, which they designed in collaboration with the British firm Carmody Groarke. Laura Muyldermans and Nord Architectes will explain their scenography for the permanent collection, whilst Elmès will discuss the exhibition architecture for the temporary exhibition Public Matter(s): Design and Democracy. Olivier Goethals, who realised one of the four Special Design Projects in the building, also shares his insights.

How does a cohesive museum emerge when different design practices work on the same project? These conversations offer a unique insight into the design process – from the creative choices made to the collaboration and interaction between the various architects involved.

The event also celebrates the release of A+320 Practice under Pressure, which features the Design Museum Gent.
