A+ is crossing national borders once again. Together with ETH Zürich, A+ is delighted to invite you to the launch of A+319 Reclaiming Beauty on Monday 2 November in Zürich.

At a time when ecological, social and economic challenges dominate architectural practice, beauty seems to have faded into the background. Yet the theme is back on the agenda, not as a nostalgic or classical ideal, but as a renewed measure of quality. As our values change, so does our perception of beauty. These changes call for new concepts, new perspectives and a new vocabulary. The conversation about beauty in architecture is therefore complex, but also more relevant than ever.

To mark the release of this issue, Maarten Delbeke (ETH Zürich), author of Beauty in Architecture (Bloomsbury, 2025) and guest editor of A+319 Reclaiming Beauty, will join in conversation with Nele De Raedt (LOCI, OCL Louvain), Jan De Vylder (architects jan de vylder inge vinck) and An Fonteyne (noAarchitecten).
