London-based architect and lecturer Stephen Taylor, known for his buildings with a strong sculptural quality and his eye for detail, will give a lecture at BOZAR on 16 November. He will speak about his vision of the city and the creation of a welcoming, selfless urban environment.

A front door in embossed bronze; a large hallway leading to the bedrooms, lit by a patio and featuring a narrow, additional staircase; a recessed porch on a busy street; a tiny courtyard, dynamically framed by accordion-style windows; a view of the sky from every living space in a small house… Under the guise of spatial generosity, Stephen Taylor makes London’s darkest, most complicated and most unfavourable residual plots liveable.
