On 12 May 2022, A+ and Bozar are hosting a lecture by the Austrian architect Bernardo Bader on his work. Following this, A+ spoke with him about small-scale building and the impact of craftsmanship in the rural region that forms the backdrop to his projects.

A+ – As early as the 1980s, a group of architects from Vorarlberg, the so-called ‘Baukünstler’, established a building culture that has since become internationally renowned. How do you see yourself within this tradition? Are you continuing it?
