Le Rideau de Bruxelles, a theatre that only shows new creations, is inhabited both by day and by night. In a dense residential area, Ouest architecture has transformed a particularly complex built situation into a house in which culture may flourish.
Since its foundation in 1943, Le Rideau has occupied various halls of the Centre for Fine Arts. It began its migration in 2010, presenting its programme thanks to various partner venues. In January 2013 it signed an agreement with the municipality of Ixelles for the temporary occupation of the premises of the XL Théâtre, close to the Matonge area.
