At A’s request, photographer Michiel De Cleene delved into his rich archive of photographs he had taken over the years of Bureau Bas Smets projects. From this archive, he selected ten images, each of which is a contextualised interpretation of Smets’ projects, both in Belgium and far beyond. Not only do the projects and their geographical locations differ, but the calendar years and seasons in which the photographs were taken are also mixed. What connects the photographs is that together they follow the clock: we see the course of a sunset, more specifically from 56 minutes before to 49 minutes after.
