For the 2025 Luxembourg Urban Garden Festival, the architectural firm SNCDA and landscape architect Jan Minne have created Endymion, a temporary lunar garden located within the walls of the Dräi Eechelen fortress. This minimalist intervention transforms the former parade ground into a poetic hortus conclusus, playing on myths, the memory of the place and the visitor’s sensory experience.
LUGA is a temporary landscape festival designed to be an “open-air laboratory”, combining urban gardens, art installations, agricultural projects and living spaces. Within this broad-based event, the theme of the 2025 edition, “Making the invisible visible”, did not impose many restrictions. The team formed by SNCDA and Jan Minne chose to respond with an approach that was as symbolic as it was physical, showcasing the coexistence of architecture and landscape.
