The Rubens House site has a new entrance in the form of the reception building designed by Robbrecht and Daem. The building is both understated and inviting, and interacts with the other buildings without making obvious references.

This summer, the new reception building of the Rubens House opened in Antwerp, on the site that includes the historic home of artist Pieter Paul Rubens. The Rubens House has been a popular museum since 1946. The new wing is located in the same block as the artist’s home and, like the home, opens onto the historic garden. Large parts of the site, including the artist’s house, are still being restored and will open in 2030 at the earliest.
