Modul R is the result of a four-year research and design project, developed and funded by the FW-B and carried out by a team of various research and design agencies, including the architecture department of UCL, Matador & KIS studio. The aim is to quickly and ecologically address the shortage of educational infrastructure in Wallonia-Brussels resulting from the increasing number of students.

As the name ‘Modul R’ suggests, it is a project that creates different spatial combinations for the schools of tomorrow by stacking and linking modules. The project consists of two parts: thorough research and implementation in the form of a mock-up.
