The “Love pt. II” project by Brussels-based architecture firm Label is all about similarities and connections, taking us into a strange fictional world with no origins or truths. This project is the second phase of a renovation and extension project for the sports complex in the municipality of Loverval. More than ten years after the start of “pt. I”, “pt. II” is now coming to fruition. It is an extension of the existing sports hall, comprising a new indoor multi-sports court, a bouldering hall and changing rooms.

Imagine: you are in Rome, Piazza del Popolo, sitting on the steps of the obelisk to rest for a moment. The sun is already hot, groups of tourists fill the space, and the noise of traffic on the cobblestones isolates you in your thoughts. In front of you are the two twin churches: Santa Maria dei Miracoli and Santa Maria di Montesanto. You look at them and let your mind wander. You wonder if they are identical, but you notice differences. You wonder if they were built at the same time and by the same person, unaware that this is not the case. Finally, you wonder if they are twin churches or if they should rather be considered as an urban gateway opening onto the city. You hesitate between lining and pooling.
