Anyone who, upon hearing ‘MIAs’, first thinks of the Music Industry Awards is certainly the target audience for this piece. After all, in inclusive renovation strategies, the MIAs stand for ‘People in Poverty’. People for whom energy renovation means that their 92-year-old mother, who lives with them, no longer has to sleep with a hat on, because otherwise she is constantly woken by the cold draught on her head. Or that the changing of the seasons no longer means half-moving the furniture around, because in winter the sofa has to be placed under the lowest part of the ceiling to get it even slightly warm, and in summer under the highest part of the ceiling, because it gets unbearably hot under the lowest section.
