To mark the closing of the Forms of Gardens exhibition, Bruno Notteboom, an expert on landscape architecture and on the history of the landscape in Belgium, will analyse the relationship between the garden and the landscape, on the one hand, and housing, on the other, as well the presentation of projects in publications and the evolution of the role of the landscape architect in the course of the 20th century. Themes that are still topical today, as we can see in the work of Erik Dhont.

The talk will be followed by The Visitors, a performance by Edurne Rubio presented at the Canneel-Claes house, in the presence of Canneel-Claes’s daughter Nicole. In the landscape architect’s own house, the detail of architectural history meets the wider story in a performance that combines the performing arts, video and photography. Starting at the Centre for Fine Arts at 4 pm.
