Architecture in Belgium, in collaboration with Bozar, is delighted to welcome Chilean architect Cecilia Puga to Brussels on 20 February 2024 for a lecture on her work.
Cecilia Puga, who has been running her own practice in Santiago since 1995, has made her mark on contemporary architecture with her innovative approach. She builds projects on various scales, from individual houses to large-scale educational and industrial projects. Her work expresses a unique architectural vision that strives for harmonious integration into the context, combining elegance and originality, an inventive approach to the use of materials and the reinterpretation of traditional elements.
This conference provides an overview of Cecilia Puga’s career, with notable achievements such as the cruise terminal in the Strait of Magellan, the Pereira Palace and the infrastructure for the Queulat National Park in Patagonia. Not to mention her proposal for the Chilean pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai, created in collaboration with Chilean architects Smiljan Radic and Paula Velasco, proof of her international reputation.
