Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s vision not only inspires our projects, but also the organisation (and name) of our agency.

In Surrounded Islands, the emphasis is on the interaction between the various actors – water, land, people – rather than on separate entities. At archipelago, we work – with more than a hundred employees and an office dog – within a horizontal, collaborative structure in which we seek to cultivate interaction. This is often challenging, frustrating at times, but ultimately adds great value. An important addition is the archipelago R&I team, which ensures a constant exchange of knowledge and lays the foundation for research and innovation in all projects. And just like Christo and Jeanne-Claude, we love big projects.
